H. McLarnon & Son Ltd believes that Safety is of high importance given the high risk involved in the roofing and cladding industry.
All operatives are given Health & Safety training both internally and externally ensuring that sufficient knowledge is developed on how to properly handle roof/side wall sheets and insulated panels, how to safely use equipment and machinery onsite, how to safely install safety nets and edge protection and how to administer first aid.
Safety nets and edge protection:
Before the commencement of a project, H. McLarnon & Son provide and install safety nets and edge protection. This ensures the safety of workers against falling from heights and cuts down on any serious injuries/fatalities that can be caused as a result.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Hard Hats, Visors, Ear Protectors, Safety Boots and Hi-Vis jackets are provided to and worn by all operatives. Hard hats are also supplied to any on site visitors to ensure their safety as well as the safety of the workers.
Protection of the Public:
When working on a project located in a public area, measures are taken by H. McLarnon & Son to ensure the safety of the surrounding public. The project area will be securely cordoned off from the public to keep them from entering any danger areas within the site. Appropriate signage and pedestrian diversions also be put in place to safely reroute members of the public from the project area. If necessary, traffic signage and diversions will also be supplied.
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT):
All our electrical equipment is tested using Portable Appliance Testing (PAT). This is to ensure that electrical tools used on site are in safe working order. All electrical equipment used on site are 110V.
