15 Aug New project: Hooton Bio Power facility
H McLarnon And Son Ltd are pleased to announce that they have been awarded the cladding package for the Hooton Bio Power facility – which is located in Hooton, Cheshire.
Hooton Bio Power facility is the UK’s first non-subsidised waste gasification project of this size, and is 100% owned by Aviva Investors.
The facility is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2021. According to Aviva, it will be the first project in Europe to use gasification technology provided by Japanese firm Kobelco Eco Solutions. And, it is also the first time the UK market will realise a gasification plant of this size, based on fluidised bed technology.
